As part of our Creative Clusters project this year, we took part in a storytelling day with Newtowngore NS and Scoil Chlann Naofa, Ballinamore. Inspired by the 1930s Schools Folklore project, we brought in objects, pictures and recipes from our family’s past to help share our stories. We had such a wide variety of objects, ranging from a stone age axe head to a gameboy. The children all enjoyed sharing a story from their family’s past.
